all together... almost

Here's what the quilts look like when hung together. There is one class that is missing. I still have room 4's quilt hanging in my classroom. They were the first class I did the project with and I modified the final size of the class quilts after the first run through. So, they have a special display in my room:)

Way to go 2nd graders! I think these rock! I can't wait to have the quilts showcased behind presenters at our next school assembly.

Thanks to all the women of Gee's Bend for making such wonderful works of art. Keep creating ladies and keep passing those skills down from one generation to the next.

  4. You did a bang up job creating this lesson! I love it and did it with my K-1 and special ed last month. You, Zamoranoarts, have inspired me to create a blog so I can give back as well, to contribute, like all the fantastic teaching artists like you!!
